OP v2 was designed to integrate seamlessly into your existing management structure — no workflow overhauls, no complicated rollouts.

Property management is not one-size-fits-all. Neither is OP. When we built v2, we made a deliberate decision: the platform should have flexible integration to fit various models. That means whether you run a flat-fee structure, tiered management plans, or something in between — OP can be embedded in a way that feels natural, consistent, and easy to explain to your owners. Here's a look at three of the most common ways property managers are integrating OP into their fee structure today, and what makes each one work.

Three Examples. One Goal: Clarity, Simplicity, Stability.

The goal with any OP integration is the same: eliminate the friction of managing protection unit by unit, and create a structure that's stable enough to run on autopilot. These three approaches each accomplish that — just in different ways depending on how your business is set up.

STRUCTURE OPTION 1

Basic Built In — Shield & Plus as Upgrades

This is the most straightforward approach: Basic OP is included as a standard benefit at every management tier. Owners who want more coverage can upgrade to Shield or Plus at any time — but every owner starts with a baseline of protection, no questions asked.

This works particularly well for PMs who want to eliminate the conversation around whether an owner "needs" protection. The answer is already baked in. Owners aren't choosing between protected and unprotected — they're simply choosing how much protection they want.

"When protection is standard, it stops being a conversation and starts being a given. That's where simplicity lives."

STRUCTURE OPTION 2

Basic in Lower Tiers — Plus Elevated to Your Top Plan

For PMs with tiered management plans, this structure creates a natural progression: Basic in your entry and mid tiers, with Plus — including two months of rent protection — reserved as a premium benefit in your top-tier plan. It gives owners a compelling reason to move up, and gives you a clean differentiator at every price point.

This approach makes OP a selling point for your highest tier without making lower tiers feel underserved. Every owner has coverage. Your top-tier owners just have more of it — and that distinction is easy to communicate.

STRUCTURE OPTION 3

A Full Progression: Basic → Shield → Plus Across All Three Tiers

This is the cleanest tier-to-tier story: every level of your management plan includes a progressively higher level of OP coverage. Silver gets Basic. Gold gets Shield. Platinum gets Plus. Simple, logical, and easy for owners to understand at a glance.

For PMs who want OP to be a core part of what separates their plans — not just an add-on — this structure makes the most sense. The coverage level becomes as much a part of the tier identity as the management fee itself.

Why Structure Matters More Than You Think

The way OP is structured isn't just an operational decision — it shapes how owners perceive your value. When protection is embedded thoughtfully into your tiers, it signals that you've built a management model designed to protect their investment at every stage. It also removes one of the most common friction points in property management: the ongoing conversation about whether an owner wants protection. When it's built in, that question is already answered. Owners aren't opting in — they're simply covered. And because OP coverage stays active through vacancies, there are no gaps. No periods where a unit falls through the cracks between tenants. Stability isn't just a feature — it's the foundation the whole structure is built on.

"The best protection plan is one your owners never have to think about — because it's already working."

Which Structure Is Right for You?

There's no single right answer. The best structure is the one that aligns with how you already manage your business — your fee model, your owner relationships, and how you want to position your services in the market. What OP v2 gives you is the flexibility to make that decision on your own terms. Your CSM can help you map it out, build the right structure, and make sure your marketing materials reflect exactly how you've set it up.
