Existing investors support Steady's next phase of growth as Ryan Collins becomes Chief Executive Officer and Jin Hwang is named President & COO.
New York, N.Y. — September 15, 2026 — Steady Technologies, Inc., the insurance compliance system of record and engagement platform for single-family rental owners and property managers, today announced new financing from its existing investor base to support the company's next phase of growth, product development and customer service.
The company also announced that Ryan Collins has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Jin Hwang has been named President & COO. This new leadership team will guide Steady as it expands its risk-management products and deepens the company's ties to professional property management.
"Steady was founded around a straightforward idea: single-family rental owners take real financial risk, yet they have not had access to purpose-built tools that help them manage that risk with the speed, precision and flexibility available in more mature markets," said Collins. "The continued support of our existing investors reflects confidence in that mission, our customers and the opportunity ahead."
Over the past 18 months, Steady has introduced OwnerProtect, a suite of "always on" insurance solutions backed by Nationwide that help owners manage risk throughout the rental lifecycle. For vacant homes, OwnerProtect addresses risks such as squatters and excess pet damage. For occupied homes, it includes rent default and eviction protection. In October, Steady expects to introduce OwnerLaunch, a streamlined platform that helps property managers enroll landlord customers, offer new insurance products, manage subscriptions and renew contracts more efficiently.
Collins was an early investor in Steady and previously served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Open Lending, where he worked with embedded-insurance solutions and technology-enabled financial products. He was part of the executive team that took the company public on Nasdaq, which went on to reach a $5.5 billion market cap.
"I have sat on both sides of this, as an investor in Steady and as a landlord who has had a tenant stop paying," Collins said. "Most owners absorb that loss quietly because no one ever offered them an alternative. We are offering one."
Hwang joined Steady in 2023 and has strengthened the company's delivery of sophisticated risk-management solutions. He built consumer and wealth management products, and the underlying platform, at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on making complex Wall Street products usable by everyday customers.
"Steady has built meaningful customer relationships and a strong foundation for the next stage of its development," said Hwang. "With the support of our investor base, our team is focused on delivering the products our customers have asked us specifically to build."
The new financing will support Steady's product roadmap, operational execution and customer growth. The company remains focused on helping single-family rental professionals identify, manage and reduce property, leasing and income-related risk.
